Jilly's passion for food and wine matching started when she moved to France aged 21. Her friends Michel & Bernadette taught her all about French wine and French cooking.
Later in life, holidays always included wine hunting to fill her cellar and, when the trend for tasting menus and wine flights appeared, she was in her element.
For her own gratification, she qualified with the UK Sommelier Association, which concentrated largely on restaurant food. As she’s not allowed out much, Jilly wanted to discover what wines go with food that we typically eat at home.
She decided to do more research and gathered together a mix of professionals and enthusiasts: because what do you drink with baked beans on toast?
